
Regena Cassandrra (born Regina Cassandra) is an Indian actress and model who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema alongside Hindi and Kannada productions. Born on December 13, 1990, in Madras (present-day Chennai), Tamil Nadu, she completed her schooling in Chennai and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology from Women's Christian College, Chennai, followed by a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Madras. Having started in the entertainment industry as a child anchor at the age of nine for the children's television channel Splash, she made her acting debut at age sixteen in the Tamil romantic comedy *Kanda Naal Mudhal* (2005). After completing her higher education and appearing in several acclaimed short films, she made her Kannada debut in K. M. Chaitanya's *Suryakaanti* (2010). She achieved an immediate commercial breakthrough in Telugu cinema with Tatineni Satya's *Siva Manasulo Sruthi* (*SMS*, 2012), which won her the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu.
