Season 1

Gabimaru, a ninja member of a clan of assassins, is sentenced to death. He claims to have nothing to tie him to life, yet no method of execution manages to end his life. His meeting with Sagiri Yamada Asaemon, who seems to be investigating him, will change everything.

The condemned criminals are gathered on the beach to prepare for the expedition to Shinsenkyo, but first, they must reduce their numbers.

Gabimaru, Sagiri, and the others arrive on Shinsenkyo, and their battle for survival begins.

Gabimaru and Sagiri are in trouble during their first fight against the island's mysterious creatures. Gabimaru is unaware of these monstrosities and this puts him at a disadvantage in battle. The sudden arrival of Yuzuriha, the female ninja, will change the situation, but Gabimaru does not see clearly in her game.

Gabimaru and Sagiri's group cross paths with another Yamada Asaemon, Genji, who takes a dim view of Sagiri's involvement in the present matter. Meanwhile, Yamada Asaemon Tenza tries to find a way off the island along with his charge, Nurugai.

Rokurota starts to cause serious problems for Sagiri and Gabimaru, and now they must think of a strategy to defeat him!

Chobe and Toma encounter people unlike any they've ever encountered before. Gabimaru and Sagiri's party finally meet people who live on the island.

Tenza and Nurugai also encounter one of the island's strange denizens with unfathomable power. All seems lost before they encounter another Yamada Asaemon...

Sagiri's group sets off in search of Horai. Gabimaru goes ahead and encounters the same powerful being that confronted Tenza...

Mei attempts to explain something very important to Sagiri's party in the forest. Shion tries to explain how he interacts with the world to Nurugai. A mysterious servant of the Tensen tries to explain why Aza Chobe and Toma shouldn't escape.

Chobe brings new abilities to bear as he faces the Tensen's servants. A secret of Mei's is revealed to Gabimaru, hardening his resolve to fight and opening him up to a new perception of the world.

Mu Dan confronts Sagiri's party and reveals shocking truths about the island's true nature.

Sagiri's party faces Mu Dan's seemingly unstoppable true form. Shion does his best to rise to the challenge with his mastery of waves.

Shugen and Jikka are sent to Shinsenkyo, while Gabimaru and his companions battle Aza Chobe and Toma.

Aza Chobe and Gabimaru lose themselves in battle, but Mei stops their fight.

While Aza Chobe battles Rien, Gabimaru regains his memories and begins training in the use of tao.

Sagiri believes Shugen will be an ally and eagerly anticipates the expedition's arrival, but Shion is skeptical.

As the expeditioners prepare, Gabimaru asks Mei if she's sure she wants to leave the island with them.

Gabimaru's group finally enters the sacred mountain, but the Tensen can see everything they're up to.

Gantetsusai and Fuchi struggle against Tao Fa, but they seem to be enjoying themselves.

When Tao Fa asks Ju Fa for help, Ju Fa recalls the time they spent together.

The expeditioners work together to take on Tao Fa and Ju Fa, who have undergone Kishikai transformations.

Shion and Nurugai take on Zhu Jin, but both sides lack the ability to finish the other off.
