Spring arrives early, and the lambing on Ellen and Jon's farm turns out to get very serious.

Jon gives the fields good nutrition from pig manure, which all Brårud is experiencing. Ellen has her hands full with following up on lambs.

Jon and Ellen plan to make cheese from goat's milk. This dream takes Jon and Lars to France. The weather is very dry, will the grain at Brårud sprout?

The weeds are to be controlled without the use of pesticides. New tenants move in, and Ellen is irritated by an unusable chicken coop.

A nervous Jon decides to bring up organic farming at the annual meeting of the Farmers' Association. How will it be received?
