Akane Tsuda (28), who works in the product planning department of a major electronics manufacturer, is doing well at work and is well-liked by those around her, but her private life is a disaster! Her room is a mess and she has a bad drinking habit, so in a drunken rage, she buys a robot to do household chores. Later, she receives a delivery of an "adult" android named Nadeshiko…

Akane sighs as she heads home earlier than usual. And no wonder—since the other day, an illegal adult robot named “Nadeshiko” has been staying at her house! Since Nadeshiko, who just arrived, doesn't have any underwear, the two head out to buy some together. Once they do, Nadeshiko goes to change in the bathroom, but she doesn't come back for a while...?

Akane jolts awake from a nightmare in which her workplace discovers she bought an illegal romance robot named Nadeshiko. The very source of her worries, Nadeshiko, appears to be sleeping soundly beside her. Huh? ...Come to think of it, robots don't sleep, do they? Is she powered down? Akane manages to charge Nadeshiko safely, but then realizes she doesn't know how to restart her...?

Seeing Akane exhausted from her grueling work, Nadeshiko offers her a regular massage. Following that, Nadeshiko asks Akane to perform a “Master Authentication,” but Akane refuses the request. Master Authentication would mean becoming Nadeshiko's owner, but Akane explains she can't treat Nadeshiko like an object because she feels too human for that. Akane says she'd rather start as friends first, to which Nadeshiko responds...?

Akane on her way home. Though troubled by how deeply she's becoming bound to Nadeshiko, she feels grateful—unlike before—that her own home is lit up, that someone is waiting for her there. And who greets Akane upon her return, in this state...? Nadeshiko, wearing nothing but an apron...?

Akane has been invited to an anonymous online meetup exclusively for Romanceroid owners. Though uneasy about the anonymous sender, she decides to attend, hoping to uncover Nadeshiko's secret. Waiting before Akane, filled with anxiety, are owners dressed in fairy-tale-like animal costumes—a dog, a rabbit, and a bear...?

Akane (and Nadeshiko, who came along out of concern) stayed at a leisure hotel during a business trip. While enjoying the large bath, big bed, and stylish meals unique to leisure hotels, Akane braced herself for “that sort of thing” with Nadeshiko... but nothing happened at all!? Left completely untouched, Akane drifted off to sleep in frustration, when suddenly, a voice began coming from the TV...?
