Ten years ago, the raccoons living in the forest of Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, were forced to leave their home and seek refuge on the Playa Miramar breakwaters due to increasing tourism. Today, they spend their days wandering the boardwalk, interacting with local vendors and tourists, and have become a tourist attraction themselves.
